I've been drawing for as long as I can remember; it's always been a meditative escape from, and embrace of, my reality. What started out as a hobby slowly became a way of life, shaped by academically honing skills and continual encouragement from friends and family. I studied Graphics Design at Texas State University and The University of Houston in Texas, and finished at the University of North Texas in Interdisciplinary Arts and Design Studies, a comprehensive in both studio art and art history. Recently, I began dabbling in charcoal and have found it to be an excellent medium for creative expression, allowing me to capture a scene or event with my hands, much like a photograph, but with an enhanced level of construction and emotion behind each work. I currently do freelance charcoal renderings and personal fine-art requests all over North Texas.
